World of Tanks: HEAT gets a May 26 release date on PC and consoles

World of Tanks: HEAT launches on May 26 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam Deck, and GeForce NOW. Wargaming’s free-to-play tank combat game will support cross-play and shared progression from day one, making it easier to move between platforms without losing progress.

The game is also built around a hero-driven structure. Players choose an Agent, and each Agent comes with abilities that shape how a match unfolds, whether the focus is holding ground, striking first, or coordinating with teammates. There are eight Agents in total, split across Defender, Assault, and Marksman roles, with a two-vehicle roster tied to each one.

Launch content includes 15 customizable vehicles, and each tank can be tuned with modules and equipment to fit a specific style of play. That gives the game a strong build layer on top of its vehicle combat, since the same tank can be pushed toward frontline pressure, support fire, or more flexible tactical roles.

Wargaming is also promising eight maps set across different biomes and visual environments, plus four PvP modes: Hardpoint, Control, Kill Confirmed, and Conquest. The game runs on a new in-house engine designed to handle modern lighting, particle effects, and VFX while keeping performance stable across a broad range of hardware.

Confirmed languages include English, French, German, Japanese, Polish, Simplified Chinese, Ukrainian, Traditional Chinese, Spanish (Spain), Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian.
