False Oath is a single-player retro-style survival horror game in development for PC via Steam. Created by Daniel Almenara and Nytelynn and published by Good Goblin, it brings the language of ’90s horror classics into a medieval kingdom devastated by a deadly plague. There is no release date yet, but the game can already be added to wishlists on Steam.

The story follows Elis, a knight of the Kingdom of Torvenia, summoned by the royal healer alongside the other knights for an urgent mission. The royal family is in grave danger, and the only possible cure depends on finding the ingredients for a special potion capable of healing any ailment. Time becomes part of the pressure, as the plague keeps spreading while the truth behind the crisis remains hidden.
Gameplay is built around exploration, puzzles and careful resource management. False Oath uses fixed camera angles and tank controls, then connects them to melee-focused combat, limited ammunition for a powerful ranged weapon, scarce healing items and manual saving in designated areas. Every room can become a small risk, especially when choosing whether to fight or conserve supplies matters more than simply moving forward.
Progressive equipment upgrades add a practical layer to survival without softening the game’s darker tone, violence, gore and medieval decay. More details are available on the official website for False Oath.
