Game Pass adds Halo and Beast of Reincarnation

The latest Game Pass update covers late July and the first days of August with a varied mix of day-one launches, expanded tier availability and recent additions worth catching up on. The calendar spans Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, console, handheld and PC, with different access across Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass. Halo: Campaign Evolved and Beast of Reincarnation are the headline names, but the lineup also includes survival crafting, cooperative horror, action RPGs, city-building, fantasy shooters and bonus content.

The Planet Crafter is available now on Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass. The game is a relaxed terraforming experience playable solo or in online co-op, sending players to a hostile planet with one objective: make it suitable for human life. That means surviving, collecting resources, building a base, installing machines to heat the planet and slowly creating an oxygen-rich atmosphere.

Shift at Midnight arrives on July 22 for Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. It is a day-one cooperative detective horror game built around three-player shifts, randomly generated situations and customers who may not be what they appear to be. A mistake can turn investigation into emergency defense, forcing the team to board up, set traps and hide before the shift collapses.

Hell is Us follows on July 23 for Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC across Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass. The action adventure takes place in Hadea, a country broken by civil war and cursed by a supernatural calamity. Its focus is on brutal melee combat, a dark mystery and exploration that avoids heavy guidance, asking players to follow their instincts and read the world rather than simply chase markers.

Halo: Campaign Evolved joins on July 28 for Cloud, console, handheld and PC through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, also as a day-one release. The remake rebuilds Halo: Combat Evolved’s campaign with HD visuals, refined controls, up to four-player online co-op, three new missions and an expanded set of weapons, vehicles and enemies. It is the most recognizable addition in this update for players tied to Xbox’s wider history.

Mistfall Hunter lands on July 30 for Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Ultimate and PC Game Pass. It is a dark fantasy extraction action RPG where classes, skills, talents and gear decide whether a solo player or squad can return with a full haul. On July 31, Corsair Cove comes to PC for Ultimate and PC Game Pass, shifting the pace toward pirate city-building with production chains, a growing haven, fleet management and a crew to govern.

August 4 brings Heretic + Hexen to Cloud, console, handheld and PC, now with Game Pass Premium access alongside Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The package restores two dark spell-casting shooters with broader platform and language accessibility. The same day also adds Beast of Reincarnation on Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld and PC for Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Game Freak’s action RPG arrives day one with a “one-person, one-dog” setup, mixing real-time action, turn-based RPG depth and Emma and Koo’s journey through post-apocalyptic Japan.

Recent additions remain part of the wider picture. Buckshot Roulette joined on July 8 for Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld and PC through Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass, turning shotgun roulette into a tabletop horror format. Denshattack! arrived on July 15 for Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Ultimate and PC Game Pass, built around train tricks, rival gangs and a colorful Japanese dystopia. On July 29, Zenless Zone Zero also receives a PC in-game benefit tied to its second anniversary. Leaving the catalog on July 31 are Back to the Dawn, Celeste, Crusader Kings III, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, My Friendly Neighborhood, Rain World, Sniper Elite Resistance and Whiskerwood.
