The remake includes the original game and its two expansions, aiming to present the full campaign saga in an updated form. The return to Erathia will feature enhanced 4K visuals, refined animations and modernized audio, while keeping the foundation that made the game such an important name for strategy fans.

The structure is still built around nine factions, each with its own creatures, playstyle and tactical identity. Players explore the world, secure resources, collect artifacts, expand towns and shape heroes and armies across a loop that mixes map control, role-playing progression and turn-based battles.

The remake also adds a unified campaign with a new prologue, epilogue and cinematic scenes, alongside online battles for up to eight players and local hot seat play. Community maps will be supported from day one, with editing tools for custom maps, campaigns and balance adjustments. Players tracking Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake alongside other strategy releases can use the Playority Calendar to save games to their account and receive personalized notifications.
