Isle of Reveries will launch on September 4, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam. Electric Airship and desertcucco confirmed the date with a new trailer for the cooperative action adventure, which openly follows the structure of classic The Legend of Zelda games. Its hero is Lief, an owl making a journey toward an abandoned island where any wish is said to be granted.

The pilgrimage unfolds across a large world that avoids constantly pointing players toward the next objective. Lief will meet anthropomorphic characters, uncover secrets, and enter seven dungeons, each built around a distinct theme, original puzzles, and a key item. Like the Zelda adventures that inspired the project, those tools do not become useless after one specific area. They remain part of exploration, combat, and later puzzles, steadily expanding how players can interact with the island.
The most distinctive mechanic comes from Lief’s fairy companion. Its magic can copy objects found in the environment and create new versions wherever they are needed. Blocks, torches, mushrooms, and other elements can be duplicated and combined with the items already collected. Solutions are therefore not limited to finding keys or pressing switches. Players must study each room, understand how different objects react, and use their properties in creative ways.
A dedicated jump button leaves the remaining controls available for the tools most useful in each situation. Platforming, combat, and environmental puzzles are tied together by an inventory that continues growing throughout the adventure. The seven dungeons provide the main landmarks of Lief’s journey, but the wider world encourages detours, experimentation, and exploration without constant objective markers.
Isle of Reveries adopts several recognizable parts of the Zelda formula without simply repeating its structure. Object duplication, an animal protagonist, cooperative play, and limited hand-holding give the adventure its own identity. Reaching the island’s promised wish will require more than completing dungeons in order: players will need curiosity, environmental awareness, and the ability to reuse familiar tools in unexpected ways.
