NCSoft Reveals Like or Die, a Team Survival FPS Built Around Streamer Battles

NCSoft has announced Like or Die, a team-based survival first-person shooter in development for PC via Steam. No release date has been announced yet, but the premise is immediately clear: 16 streamers are split into four teams and thrown into an arena where every win, mistake and death becomes live content broadcast by the cosmic platform Quaya Stream.

The goal is not only to survive, but to rack up “LIKE”s through dramatic plays and remain standing long enough to become Quaya’s ultimate star streamer. Matches combine squad competition, resource gathering and spatial control, with stronger weapons and items available to boost each team’s fighting power during the match.

The key system is the Block Gun, which lets players spawn cube blocks directly inside the arena. Blocks can be used to build defensive barriers around the Nexus, open unexpected attack routes or catch enemy teams from angles they failed to cover. The battlefield is not static, because each team can actively reshape it while the fight is still unfolding.

The Nexus gives survival its real stakes. As long as it remains intact, fallen teammates can respawn and rejoin the stage; once it is destroyed, respawns are gone for good. Between sponsor airdrops, Lucky Blocks and late-match pressure, Like or Die is built around decisions that can turn one squad into the favorite or remove it from the show entirely. More details are available on the official website for Like or Die.
