Moros Protocol brings its sci-fi roguelite FPS to PS5 and Switch 2

Moros Protocol will launch for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 1, following its PC release on Steam and GOG on September 18, 2025. The game from Pixel Reign and Super Rare Originals brings a science-fiction roguelite first-person shooter to new platforms, built around speed, hostile corridors, and survival under pressure.

The game begins aboard the Orpheus, a derelict warship lost in deep space. The protagonist wakes up with no memory, surrounded by horrors and guided only by a voice pushing them forward. From there, the run turns into an armed escape through shifting environments, relentless enemies, and combat designed to keep every room tense.

Moros Protocol mixes classic 1990s and early 2000s FPS energy with roguelite progression and boss fights shaped by soulslike challenge. Levels combine handcrafted spaces with procedural generation, while death, upgrades, and repeated attempts become part of the push deeper into the ship.

The combat system supports adaptable loadouts, weapons, augments, and even kicks against enemies. Its look leans on low-poly models, crunchy pixel textures, dynamic lighting, and a decayed sci-fi atmosphere. Players who want backup can also use drop-in cooperative play, bringing a second player into the full fight against the nightmare.
