Bohemia Interactive has announced Nailcrown, a new project from Destructive Creations developed under the Bohemia Incubator label. The game is being positioned as a fast, brutal first-person shooter with a dark fantasy setting and the kind of momentum-heavy action associated with boomer shooters, tributing immortal classics like Quake and Hexen.

Its combat mix leans on both firearms and melee. The weapons mentioned include a nailgun, a shotgun, an electric Impaler, plus a sword and a warhammer, so the loop is built around switching distance rather than staying locked into one style. That approach is reinforced by a dynamic gore system designed to keep fights visually and mechanically aggressive.
The setting is medieval and centers on ghouls and other cursed creatures, with a narrative tied to a mysterious necromancer and his dark ambitions. Nailcrown is also set up with multiple ways to play: solo, co-op, and PvP are all part of the package, which gives it a broader structure than a straightforward campaign-only shooter.
Bohemia Incubator is backing the project with funding, mentorship, and production support. For Destructive Creations, the announcement fits a studio profile already associated with uncompromising, mature action, while Bohemia adds publishing support aimed at helping original indie projects reach the market.
What stands out most is the way Nailcrown blends old-school shooter pacing with close-range violence and a dark fantasy frame. Instead of relying on one combat rhythm, the game appears built around constant movement, weapon swapping, and aggressive encounters that should appeal to players looking for a more punishing, old-school style of FPS.
No release date, platforms, or localization details have been shared yet. For now, the announcement mainly establishes the project’s identity: a violent, fast-moving dark fantasy shooter with co-op and PvP support, backed by a publisher that is actively investing in distinctive indie games.
