The game brings players back to Inaba, a rural Japanese town where a year of high school life becomes tangled with a string of murders, unsettling rumors, and occult events. At the center of the mystery is the Midnight Channel, a strange TV program said to appear only on rainy nights and eventually leading to another realm beyond the screen.

The structure remains a turn-based JRPG with a major everyday-life component. Between classes, club activities, part-time jobs, romance, and time spent with Inaba’s residents, players decide how to use each day and how to strengthen Social Links, bonds that shape the protagonist’s growth and the wider journey.

Inside the other world, combat revolves around Shadows, elemental weaknesses, and team-based All-Out Attacks. Collecting and equipping different Personas lets players adjust skills and battle style, while revamped modern graphics aim to refresh Inaba’s familiar locations, from sunny streets and riversides to the town’s rain-soaked atmosphere.
