Pony Island 2: Panda Circus will launch for PC via Steam on April 27, 2027. The new game from Daniel Mullins Games, the creator of Inscryption, follows the stranger, more meta path of the original Pony Island while expanding the premise into a phantasmagorical journey through time, myth, divinity and video games. The warning still matters: this is not a game about ponies.

The story follows a young nomad who would have gone on to conquer the world, until an early death doomed him to the Earth Prison. Escape means dealing with eccentric underworld deities, bargaining for a soul and trying to keep sanity intact while moving through games that can be beaten, broken or outsmarted.
The structure appears to blend indie adventure, puzzle design, point-and-click elements, psychological horror and first-person sections, while keeping the rule-bending attitude associated with Mullins’ work. With only a steed, a thumb drive and enough wit to survive divine trickery, Pony Island 2 looks built around interfaces, expectations and the pleasure of realizing that the game is not playing fair.
The appeal is in seeing a cult indie follow-up grow stranger and broader without losing its taste for deception, discomfort and playful hostility toward the player. More details are available on the official website for Pony Island 2: Panda Circus.
