Snowberry Games has revealed Silk & Sorrow, a hand-drawn dark fantasy adventure coming to PC in 2027. Designed exclusively for two players, it supports both couch and online co-op. An announcement trailer is available now, with a demo planned for December 2026. The adventure follows two orphaned children who must share a single source of light while exploring a world beneath our own.

That hidden world is the Chrysalis, where everything humanity discards eventually arrives. Its landscape is made from rubbish, neglected memories, emotions and even people. An enormous glowworm known to its inhabitants as the Sun Queen once gave these discarded things a new purpose. She is now dead, leaving the Chrysalis in darkness as her creations begin to forget what they were made for and corruption spreads through the environment.
The children find help in Glint, a small glowing grub that can only be in one place at a time. One player carries the light while the other works in darkness, making communication and coordination central to their survival. Sharing that limited illumination means deciding how to support each other as they move through dangerous spaces. Glint is also a companion to care for: feeding it fireflies helps it grow stronger and unlock abilities that assist the pair on their journey.
Players will explore unusual ecosystems, combine their efforts to solve environmental puzzles and fight the creatures stalking the dark. Along the way, they meet characters who have built their lives among humanity’s unwanted remnants. Their task is to uncover the source of the spreading corruption and discover how they can restore light to the Chrysalis.
Based in Antwerp, Belgium, Snowberry Games is a two-person independent studio developing and self-publishing its debut game. Every environment, creature and frame of animation is drawn by hand.
