Until Dawn 2 will launch on January 28, 2027 for PlayStation 5. The horror sequel from Firesprite, published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, now has a firm release date and a new trailer focused on choice and consequence, with pre-orders set to open on September 10.
The story follows the Dead True ghost-hunting crew as they chase their biggest case yet. After an investigation at Blackwood Sanitorium takes a chilling turn, an encounter with Yoona, a supernatural survivor, leads the group to Akishima Island, a remote paradise abandoned for decades and hiding secrets far older than anyone expected.
The core remains built around interactive thriller tension: watching, choosing and dealing with what follows. Following a signal to search for a missing friend could mean leaving vital clues behind, while a dangerous detour may change the fate of the group. Even when the story demands a sacrifice, trying to find another way becomes part of the pressure.
Until Dawn 2 is therefore built around one night where survival is never guaranteed.
