The demo for Xplorite is now available on Steam, and that is currently the only concrete update: no release date has been announced yet. The game is built as an action-exploration metroidvania set on Nargal, a planet tied to the nearly extinct Anunnis and filled with hostile robots.
The setup follows the disappearance of a research team sent by the G.S.O., which gives the mission a clear objective from the start. Progress is tied to reaching the A.I. Tower while dealing with environmental hazards, robotic enemies and a growth system based on abilities, modules and upgrades.
Xplorite also stands out for how it handles progression. Alongside standard upgrades, the game uses different drones that can be equipped to expand the protagonist’s capabilities. Conversations with the planet’s locals are part of the journey as well, and they appear to serve a practical role in uncovering more about the world and the mission. The demo already suggests a project with a distinct identity rather than a broad, generic teaser.
