Aggelos II is set to launch on August 27 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Physical editions are also planned for PS5 and Switch. Developed by Wonderboy Bobi, the game is a 2D action platformer built around fast combat, precision platforming, and two playable forms that shift how you move and fight.

The sequel takes place in the Kingdom of Lumen and sends players through two interconnected worlds, with new routes opening as abilities are unlocked. Movement and progression include flight, wall grabs, dashes, and special attacks, while orbs can be used to boost power and survivability. The boss count is set at 13, and the structure leans on exploration, backtracking, and switching between angelic and demonic forms to handle different threats.
The two forms are central to the game’s design: the angelic side favors a more controlled approach, while the demonic side is faster and more aggressive. That difference matters across combat, traversal, and the way each world is navigated, since progress depends on learning routes, returning to earlier areas, and using newly unlocked skills to reach blocked sections.
For fans of retro-styled action platformers, Aggelos II appears to expand the original formula with deeper systems and a larger map structure. The game keeps the focus on timing, movement, and enemy patterns, while the interconnected world design adds a layer of route planning without moving away from straightforward 2D action.
