The game puts players back in the role of Colonel John R. Blade, a security consultant operating in a near-future dystopia shaped by SinTEK Industries. CEO Elexis Sinclaire has begun flooding the streets with a DNA-altering drug, turning the city into a battleground of hostile facilities, criminal power and genetically engineered mutants.

SiN is still defined by the level interactivity that helped it stand apart from other shooters of its era, and Reloaded keeps that identity intact. Players can hack computer terminals with DOS-style commands, use elevators and security cameras, drive vehicles including forklifts, patrol boats and helicopters, and trigger branching paths through their actions. Combat also includes weapon disarms and area-specific damage.

The package includes both the original SiN and the Wages of SiN mission pack, optimized for modern systems through the KEX Engine. The remaster adds upgraded graphics, HD textures and models, support for up to 4K resolution and 144 frames per second, modernized controls, an updated interface, improved maps, new achievements, higher-resolution music tracks and the option to switch between remastered visuals and the original SiN Gold look.
